SPAIN TRAVEL

Spain is a mix of old and new, modern and traditional. For the traveler, Spain means many things: bullfights, massive cathedrals, world class museums, Moorish palaces, whitewashed villages, delicious tapas, and sunny beaches. From the stirring sites of Barcelona to the sizzling rat-a-tat-tat of flamenco in Seville, this country creates its own beat amid the heat.

BARCELONA:

Barcelona is the venerable and vibrant Catalonian capital. Barcelona is rich in historic sites, with some of the world’s most unique architecture. The city is bordered on one side by mountains and the other by miles of golden sand beaches.

In Barcelona, you can study the works of Picasso, Miro, and Dali. Or pose with Antoni Gaudi’s fantastical Seussian architecture and fairytale houses. Barcelona has an impressive diversity of neighborhoods. I’ve written quite a few guides on Barcelona to help you along, including:

ANDALUSIA: SUNNY SOUTHERN SPAIN

Southern Spain is simply gorgeous. It’s a well-balanced blend of must see hotspots, hidden gems, tiny white pueblo villages, and natural wonders. In Andalusia, you can visit sultry Seville, visit the mighty Alhambra in Granada, and see the stunning Mezquita in Cordoba. Andalusia is also brimming with adorable white pueblo villages.
